This is my go-to paper for a collage substrate; it is what I use in workshops.
Cheap Drawing Paper from either Utrecht or Blick Art Materials
I use the 60# for painting collage papers, and the 80# for visual journals
Deli Paper: I use this for scribble painting as well, for its translucency. Otherwise known as “dry waxed” paper, it is available at BJ’s Wholesale Club and Costco in boxes of 500 sheets.
