Rev up your artistic engine with this ten-week journey in making STUDIES. Each week I will give you a prompt, and you will make at least ten studies. Share on a user-friendly online platform where we can view everybody’s work and share our ideas.
The prompts are based in the following categories:
* Materials/techniques (crayon, watercolor, and pencil)
* Visual elements (line, shape, and pattern)
* Subject matter (a house, a boat, a landscape)
* Ideas
There is plenty of leeway for personal interpretation in these prompts, so you will be exploring your own ideas and interests while exploring new approaches. Establish a regular practice of mark-making and image making in a supportive and inspiring community of fellow artists.
The prompts, including videos and/or examples, will be sent each Wednesday morning. Class will meet on Zoom weekly, on Tuesdays, 11:00 am – 12:30 pm EASTERN time, for ten weeks. Class begins with a Wednesday (Jan. 3) prompt; the first zoom meeting is the following Tuesday (Jan 9).
